I am an ice cube
Melting away at the morning sun The bitter chill nipping at my skin Hairs sticking on end with every touch My heart beats stone cold Freezing to the core Numbness devours me Don’t kick me under the fridge Please, for I am fragile To the simple drop I break into a million pieces Frigid and brisk I am left to disperse into nothing.
