I want to have a genuine conversation.
Let's talk about the great simplicities within the grand complexities of life. Let's talk about the castles we have built in our minds. Let's talk about what breaks those castles and what we do to rebuild them. Let's talk about not how to only rebuild those castles but how to furnish them with lavish accessories that are as sacred as our hearts are. Let's talk about the decisions we have made to get us to become the independent people we are today. Let's talk about our greatest fears. Let's talk about the stars and how lovely it is to see something so beautiful that is simply a chemical reaction. Let's talk about our greatest strategies to defend ourselves from heartbreak and utter disappointment. I want to have a genuine conversation. Let's not talk about what we would be doing if we were alone together. Let's not talk about how happy I could make you if you saw me bare; physically bare not emotionally bare. Let's not talk about what would happen if we got drunk together. I want to have a genuine conversation. Because genuine conversations are the most memorable. Because genuine conversations are the most important. Because genuine conversations are more intimate than things so openly idealized in society. Because genuine conversations allow two people to see each other metaphorically naked, and that's more real than any other vision of another person. - k.s.
