Red Lipstick - Kimberly Sharp
As she looks into the mirror,
she sees a young and blushed face radiating with the joy of being called beautiful for her first time. Over and over again, her heart shatters like a falling porcelain doll because of the aggressive words of covetous anger that are aimed like an arrow and she is the target. Time and time again, she releases the negative energy from her built up oppression, and now all she sees are her tear stained cheeks. As she looks into the broken mirror, she sees the impenetrable layers of fake beauty smeared across her face as she wipes away her mascara filled tears that trickle down to her ruby-like lips. She looked into her eyes, so full of contrition and sorrow, and removed the mask she let others think was herself. Removing her last layer of red lipstick, she sees the naive girl she used to be before the word "beauty" was introduced to her. As she took one last look at herself, she put away her red lipstick, and saw her true beauty as she was looking into her sapphire eyes that she had kept hidden for so long. |
